Word Dog is software designed to help students, business executives or those that deal with legal documents to write with clarity and precision by checking for wordy phrases and redundancy.

After installing Word Dog, the Word Dog icon appeared in Microsoft Word, but when we inserted text and attempted to use the software a window popped up saying the process was complete. However, the program did not run anything beyond the spelling and grammar checks that Word uses. We could never get Word Dogs reported features to work even though we have new Dell computers with Windows XP Pro.

We looked for suggestions using their online help and emailed tech support. We did receive a reply to our email, but they did not answer our questions and did not offer further assistance.

This software provider advertises many useful functions, but we couldn’t get any of them to work nor could we get any advice on how to get them to work.
