Editing Tools:  

In order to access the editing tools, you need to highlight the information, open up the program and then it will edit the selected information. You also have to delete or close the information before adding another document or additional paragraph. Once you have changed the document in the program, you have to copy and paste it back into the original word processor. The entire process is somewhat impractical and awkward.

Grammar Expert Plus provides some helpful statistics on your writing including your average use of words per sentence, sentence per paper, syllables and even tests your readability score for each document.

Furthermore, this software will to catch most of those conventional editing mistakes including comma errors, sentence fragments, wordy phrases and more. In addition, a spell and grammar check will catch common misspellings and grammar errors like (some examples here)—items that popular word processors tend to miss.

Feedback:  

Grammar Expert Plus provides explanations for the corrections and it advises with two or more ways of correcting the error. Nevertheless, it does not look at whole meaning or content of the sentence. In result, it missed subject/verb agreement and tenses. On occasion Grammar Expert Plus gave incomplete and or wrong suggestions for a correction. For example, it detected the wrong use of “too”. In contrast, the program changed “It will not address the readability of the content.” to “It wills not address.”

For the most part, Grammar Expert Plus provided useful feedback on the sentences we entered in to the software; however, this software only corrects grammar errors. It will not address the readability of the content.

Reference Tools:  

When you are not sure if you want to accept a suggestion, check the rule in the provided grammar guide. This is a book–length reference on the rules of English grammar, punctuation and effective writing. You can access the guide while in the program by clicking an icon. There is also a built–in thesaurus to help you choose that perfect word.

Additional Tools:  

Grammar Expert Plus provides you with memo, business letter and e–mail templates perfect for any business person. Other popular templates include those for essays, research papers, proposals and formal letters.

Applications:  

This software is compatible with Microsoft Word or any other word processor and or email. Grammar Expert Plus will benefit a business executive, a student, creative writer and anyone who wants to write more clear and concise.
